Martin Heidegger: Human all too Human


"He who thinks great thoughts often makes great errors." Martin Heidegger was one of the most important philosophers of the 20th century. A life wrapped in controversy. His most famous work Being and Time is taught in many undergrad courses, yet very little is ever shed on his personal life. Raw ambition seems to have gotten the best of him.

Human all too human is presented by the BBC covering the heavyweights; Nietzsche, Sarte and Heidegger. Heidegger certainly is the least popular of the three. His association with Hitler is shameful and distressing to say the least, however in the end he seem to have escape.
